Privacy Policy

1 The short version
We only collect what we need to make Rosie work — like the questions you ask and a small ID that remembers your subscription. We never sell your information, and we never share it with anyone except the trusted companies that help us run Rosie. That's the heart of it. The details are below.
2 What we collect
- Your questions and Rosie's answers. When you ask Rosie something, we process your question so Rosie can write a helpful reply.
- A device ID. Rosie creates a small private code for your computer. This is how we keep track of your free questions and whether you're subscribed. It is not your name or anything personal.
- Payment details. If you subscribe, our payment partner Stripe collects your card information to process the payment. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical information. Like most apps, we may note things such as when Rosie was used or whether something went wrong, so we can keep the service running smoothly.
3 How Rosie answers your questions
To give you helpful answers, the questions you type are sent securely to our artificial intelligence provider, which generates Rosie's reply. This is the same technology that powers Rosie's friendly, plain-language responses. Your question is used to create your answer — not to advertise to you or build a profile about you.
A gentle reminder: Because your questions are processed to create answers, please avoid typing sensitive details like full bank account numbers, passwords, or Social Security numbers into Rosie. Rosie never needs that information to help you.
4 How we use your information
We use the information we collect only to:
- Answer your questions and make Rosie work the way you expect.
- Keep track of your free questions and your subscription.
- Process your payments safely.
- Fix problems, improve Rosie, and keep the service reliable.
- Reply to you if you contact us for help.
5 Who we share with
We do not sell your information to anyone, ever. We only share what's necessary with a small number of trusted companies that help us run Rosie:
- Our AI provider — to generate Rosie's answers to your questions.
- Stripe — to securely handle subscription payments.
- Our hosting provider — the service that runs Rosie's behind-the-scenes computers.
Each of these companies is only allowed to use your information to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.
6 How long we keep things
We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide Rosie to you. If you cancel and no longer use Rosie, you can ask us to delete your information and we'll take care of it. Some basic records may be kept longer if the law requires it (for example, billing records).
7 Keeping your information safe
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information, such as secure connections and trusted payment processing. No system on the internet is ever 100% secure, but we take your privacy seriously and work to keep your information protected.
8 Your choices and rights
You're always in control of your information. You can:
- Ask us what information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete your information.
- Cancel your subscription at any time, right inside the Rosie app.
Just email us at hello@meetrosie.app and a real person will help you.
9 Rosie is for grown-ups
Rosie is made for adults and is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used Rosie, please contact us and we'll remove their information.
10 Changes to this policy
If we update this privacy policy, we'll change the date at the top, and we'll let you know if it's an important change. Continuing to use Rosie after an update means you accept the new policy.
11 Getting in touch
If you have any questions about your privacy or this policy, we'd love to hear from you. Email us anytime at hello@meetrosie.app.
